God’s Gifts, Our Blessings, His Purpose

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  Galations 6:9-10

Thank you for considering a donation to Lutheran Church-Canada. Our ministry, both domestic and international, can only be accomplished with the generous financial support of members like you. Your donation will help us continue to:

- sustain and revitalize congregations,

- bring witness to the world through our international missions,

- strengthen our domestic outreach,

- show mercy in times of crisis, and

- share Christ through many and various ways.

A gift where most needed is preferred but you may also designate your gift to one or more of our ministries as indicated below.

Each gift designated toward a specific project will be used to support that project with the understanding that when a given project has been fully funded, designated gifts will be applied to a similar project in the same region or where most needed.

French Ministries

Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC), through the supervision of Missionary-at-Large, Rev. Dr. David Somers, carries out Word and Sacrament ministry throughout Quebec (Montreal, Saint-Jean-sur Richelieu and Quebec City) bringing the Church's message of Justification by grace through faith.

The 2 most significant French ministry on-going contributions on the world level are the LCC French hymnal (Liturgies et cantiques luthériens) and the ever-evolving website (

In the past decade the hymnal has become the standard Lutheran hymnal for many of the growing number of Lutheran churches in francophone countries.

The website serves as the world's largest gathering point for the rather scarce French-language Lutheran resources, be they liturgical, doctrinal, catechetical or devotional.

The French Ministries also work hand-in-hand with Lutheran Hour Ministries-Canada in the development of French-language materials.

Converts from Quebec are now part of LCC congregations elsewhere in Canada and abroad. Most recently, French-language outreach has begun in Moncton, NB.
